Author Biography

Hildo Honório do Couto, Universidade de Brasília

Graduado em Letras Vernáculas pela Universidade de São Paulo (1969), mestrado em Lingüística pela Universidade de São Paulo (1973) e doutorado em Lingüística pela Universitaet zu Koeln (1978), Alemanha. Atualmente é Pesquisador Associado da Universidade de Brasília. Tem experiência na área de Lingüística, com ênfase em Fonologia, Contato de Línguas, Crioulística e Ecolingüística, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: contato de línguas, relações entre língua e meio ambiente (Ecollinguística). Atualmente, está desenvolvendo, juntamente com colaboradores, a versão da Ecolinguística chamada Linguística Ecossistêmica, no âmbito da Escola de Ecolinguística de Brasília.
