A língua não é uma coisa, é motraive

O objetivo deste artigo é mostrar que a linguística ecossistêmica é uma variante da ecolinguística que se insere no espírito da nova visão de mundo que surgiu com os achados da teoria da relatividade e da mecânica quântica, na física, bem como de teorias como teoria do caos, teoria dos sistemas complexos e, sobretudo, ecologia. No contexto dessa nova visão de mundo e da linguagem, língua não pode mais ser vista como instrumento de comunicação. Para expressar isso de uma forma que pelo menos se aproxime do uso da linguagem matemática nas ciências físicas, o artigo propõe a acronímia ‘motraive’ para representar língua não como instrumento de comunicação, mas como modo de comunicação ou a própria comunicação. O artigo mostra ainda que para atingir esses objetivos a linguística ecossistêmica é multidisciplinar e multimetodológica.
