THE EXTERMINATOR OF THE FUTURE, OR A NON-UNCONDITIONAL DEFINITION OF "ACCELERATIONISM"

The following paper intends to present in a non-exhaustive way the movement / philosophical school called accelerationism. It is necessary to understand that more than a unified thought, accelerationism is an attempt to give intelligibility to the aesthetic, technological and political trends that unite apology to capitalism with the total social revolution, especially through the development of artificial intelligences and science fiction. The chosen path was: first to present some difficulties in defining the term, then the historiography presented by Andy Becky, to introduce the accelerationist “models” of Steven Shaviro, Nick Land and the conceptual expansion of accelerationism that has been made by Hilan Bensusan and to conclude with some anti-acceleration possibilities.
