Resumo
Qual é o paralelo fonológico à clássica tarefa de julgamento sintático de uma sentença que nunca ouvimos? O paralelo é a tarefa de julgamento de um logatoma, uma palavra inventada, e o que isso pode revelar sobre as regras de boa-formação fonológica. Essas ferramentas nos permitem testar os limites da teoria de fonologia como um sistema combinatorial. Podemos ir mais longe ainda, inventando línguas que seguem, ou não, regras universais, e observando o grau de dom´Ä±nio que os aprendizes alcançam nessas línguas.
