Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to reflect about the scarce inclusion of Afro-Diasporic literature in English in the Brazilian Basic Education, intending to bring purposes which contribute to a larger visibility of these productions. The studies are based on the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) e on the theorists Luiz Silva Cuti (2010) and Eduardo de Assis Duarte (2014). To design the approximation among the English language, Literature and Antiracism, we elaborate on the works of James Baldwin and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
