Abstract

At a time when freedom of thought, academic autonomy and the production of knowledge are threatened, and in which Brazilian public universities resist as spaces of mobilization and critical reflection in the context of setbacks in the field of rights in Brazil, which is cooled in 2016, this edition of Abya Yala - a journal on access to justice and rights in the Americas, honors Darcy Ribeiro.
