Architecture proposal for Brazilian Union Catalog based on the Web

This communication describes the framework for the architecture and proposal for the Brazilian Union Catalog of Libraries and Information Services on the Web. It aims to analyze the resources that build union catalog. From exploratory method by literature review, it applies comparative studies on models and frameworks to propose Brazillian union catalog architecture. It introduces its with managerial, informational and technological resources. It concludes that the national collective catalog Web-based complements the emerging models of distributed research.
