the article examines the presence of works about women and works written by women in the Rui Barbosa Library. The aim is to identify which authors and feminist ideas appear in the collection. The material consists of nine publications found through systematic searches in the institutional database. This method includes selecting keywords in four languages, locating the records and analysing the volumes with attention to their physical marks. The results show books by women writers and books on gender issues connected to European and American authors, suffragists and thinkers. The volumes contain signatures, dedications and marks that reveal different relationships with Rui Barbosa. The study shows that the library preserves books linked to nineteenth and early twentieth century feminist debates. The analysis demonstrates that these works broaden the understanding of memory construction in the preserved domestic space. The presence of these books confirms that the collection holds records of discussions on women and gender.
