MotrizAbstract
“Motriz”, a sound piece by Vinicius Albricker, combines electroacoustic modeling with poetic dramaturgy, sound-musical landscape, songs from the Brazilian popular tradition, and reinterpretations of Chico Buarque, Cartola, Noel Rosa, Tom Jobim, and Vinicius de Moraes. The work was created from the eponymous theatrical performance conceived by actress Juliana Mota and director Maria Clara Ferrer. The sound piece featured the participation of musicians Marcos Albricker (keyboard), Calvin Badu (percussion), and Marcio Albricker (electric bass). The publication also includes graphic material with information about the creation of the performance “Motriz: a concert for voice and affections”, vestiges of other creations that derived from it, and also a brief history of the entity that hosted the original investigation, the Research and Extension Group CASA ABERTA of the Federal University of São João Del Rei.
