This is the program of the choreographic piece Stellar Bodies and Fake Brilliants (2023), inspired by the musical universe of the Brazilian singer Elis Regina (1945-1982). The piece was developed through a dance composition process that involved embodied research laboratories informed by somatic-vocal creative procedures, especially based in the embodied anatomy of Body-Mind CenteringSM (BMCSM) somatic system. BMCSM investigates deeply the possibility of touching, moving, voicing and sounding from any part of the body, from a cell to the organism as a whole. The piece had its premiere and first season in August 2023 and will be released nationally starting in June 2025.
