Abstract

The essay reflects on some of the drawings in the exhibition: Notations: Contemporary Drawing as Idea and Process (2012), which selected American artists associated with Minimalist, Post-Minimalist and Conceptual art, and some of the subsequent generations. The author brings the issues of drawing as sketch and as an artwork in the serial, procedural and systematic drawing practices of the period.
