Percepção de Linguagem em Indivíduos com Audição Normal e Deficiente

Resumen

RESUMO - Neste artigo reviram-se algumas relações básicas em psicofísica acústica, chamando atenção para a possível especialização do sistema auditivo humano para o processamento de linguagem. Foram revistos alguns dados de pesquisa como subsídio para os seguintes argumentos: a) produzir fala depende de ouvir; b) responder a fala de forma significativa depende de ouvir; c) dificuldade ou impossibilidade de ouvir cria dificuldades para a utilização da fala como forma de comunicação. Finalmente, foram levantadas algumas questões sobre a pesquisa e a tecnologia de manejo da deficiência auditiva e da comunicação do, e com o, portador de deficiência auditiva.
