CONSEQUENCES OF PARENTAL DIVORCE ON CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

Abstract

Divorces have increased in most places of the world, and
recent studies suggest that parental separation can constitute a significant
developmental stress for children. The purpose of this article is to present
a review of the literature about the consequences of the parental divorce
on ajustment of children and adolescents. The studies were divided according
to methodology used, theoretical perspectives and aspects which
were focused.
