Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine some of the difficulties in the identification of creative talent ant to suggest possible alternatives for solving these problems. Research conducted with Brazilian samples to identify creative characteristics in subjects' drawings and responses are reported and their results are compared with studies carried out in the United States. The influence of socioeconomic variables is also commented. The possibility not only of identifying but also of training creative talent is demonstrated, leading to the conclusion that these methods should be used by the Brazilian educational system.
