THE CONCEPT OF TRIPLE CONTINGENCY IN THE ANALYSIS OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR

Abstract

The usefulness of the concept of triple contingency for
the analysis of human behavior is illustrated by samples collected in the
literature. The discussion includes issues such as the control of responding
by discriminative stimuli, the different stimulus functions, the
control of responding by stimulus generalization and factors which may
alter stimulus control.
