Considerações Sobre Eventos Radioativos e Seus Efeitos Psicossociais

Este trabalho apresenta alguns padrões de comportamento que são observados no contexto de um evento radioativo. Ao comparar três diferentes situações que envolveram elementos radioativos. Three Mile Island (EUA), Chernobyl (CEI) e Goiânia (Brasil), observa-se que apesar da diversidade dos níveis radiológicos entre esses eventos, as respostas dos grupos populacionais envolvidos apresentam algumas caractensticas semelhantes. O impacto desses eventos sobre a saúde tem sido o interesse principal da população exposta, e os padrões de resposta observados nos diferentes eventos radioativos parecem ser menos variáveis do que considerado inicialmente.
