VALIDAÇÃO DO TESTE DO DESENVOLVIMENTO DA INTEGRAÇÃO VISO-MOTORA (VMI), PARA USO NO BRASIL

Resumo

O presente trabalho visou validar o 'Teste do Desenvolvi­mento da Integração Viso-Motora (VMI)" para uso no Brasil. O VMI é um teste de cópia de figuras, sendo de grande utilidade na avaliação de "pro­blemas de aprendizagem" e caracterizando-se como um instrumento de ajuda considerável ao professor e ao psicólogo tanto escolar quanto clíni­co. Foi utilizada uma amostra de 620 crianças, de 6 anos e 0 mês a 11 anos e 11 meses, distribuídas em dois níveis sócio-econômicos (NSE): baixo (N=269) e alto (N=351). Utilizando-se análises fatoriais, verificou-se que o VMI comporta dois fatores (viso-motor e integração viso-motora) que, devido às suas características, faz supor a existência de um fator global (desenvolvimento da integração viso-motora). Análises concorren­tes, com o Bender e o Raven Infantil, evidenciam a melhor estruturação do VMI, em relação a esses instrumentos. Análises da precisão eviden­ciaram níveis elevados de precisão interna (alfa de Cronbach) e na con­cordância de avaliadores distintos ("interrater reliability")
