Abstract

This study aimed to analyze, in the light of Dickinson”Ÿs (1994, 1992, 1987) theory, the effectiveness of the online English course material of Marinha do Brasil in supporting the development of learner autonomy. Data, which were qualitatively analyzed, indicated positive results. It”Ÿs hoped that the study may contribute to a better understanding of the development of foreign language learner autonomy through online instructional material, as well as to open new horizons for future research in this area.
