THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE FUTURE AS PHILOSOPHY OF SENSIBILITY IN LUDWIG FEUERBACH

The main purpose of this essay is to analyze the concept of sensitivity (Sinnlichkeit) and Nature (Natur) in the Philosophy of the Future proposed by the German thinker Ludwig Feuerbach. The Philosophy of the Future presents a proposal to reform the traditional speculative theology in favor of man and nature, elements hitherto despised by it. While Idealism and Christianity affirms that God (or the absolute) and its predicates establish religion and all reality, Feuerbach paradoxically maintains that the true essence of religion is anthropological, or else the human nature, concrete, historical, finite and sensitive. With this criticism, Feuerbach stands as one of the most unheard of philosophers of religion of Western thought .
