Abstract

This work aims to analyze how the bulletin “O Candeeiro”, a communication tool of the articulation in the Brazilian Semi-arid (ASA Brazil), strengthens family agriculture and agroecology in the “Sertão of Pajeú”. This is a bibliographical and documentary research in which the survey and analysis of the successful themes and experiences systematized and published on the ASA Brasil website between the years 2012 and 2020 were carried out. An interview was also carried out with 17 people who read and use the information contained in the analyzed journal. It was observed that these practices and initiatives involve important dimensions for the strengthening of family farming in the semiarid region, with emphasis on access to land and water, conservation of Creole seeds and the role of women who demand actions of public policies of living with the semiarid. It is concluded that “O Candeeiro” promotes the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the Sertão do Pajeú, inspiring the changes.
