The biodynamic agriculture that looking for improvement on the utilization of energy resources take into account that farm can be run as an organism. The aim of this research was to evaluate the performance of the biodynamic preparation 500 in the production of lettuce and cabbage seedlings. The assay was conducted at Complexo de Controle Biológico e Cultivo Protegido Prof. Dr. Mário César Lopes, belong to Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná, Campus of Marechal Cândido Rondon – PR. The assay was conducted in completely randomized design, in factorial arrangement, being 2x4 for lettuce and 2x3 for cabbage. One factor was to use or not the preparation 500 and another factor as development stage of seedling. The analyzed variables were length and dry matter of root, leaves number and aerial tissue dry matter. The use of preparation 500 resulted in best development of the root system and the aerial part in both cultures, mainly at the last evaluation stage.
