Abstract

Uma das poucas gramáticas que existem de línguas indígenas da América do Sul, é a Arte de Gramática da Língua Brasílica da Nação Kirirí, composta pelo Pe. Luís Vincêncio Mamiani, no ano de 1699.

Author Biography

Aryon Dall’Igna Rodrigues, Universidade de Brasília

Graduado em Letras Clássicas pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1950) e doutorado em Linguística pela Universitat Hamburg (1959). Atualmente ensina e pesquisa no Laboratório de Línguas Indígenas da Universidade de Brasília, sem ônus para esta, da qual é Professor emérito e doutor honoris causa. É Professor honoris causa da Universidade Federal do Paraná e membro honorário da Linguistic Society of America (LSA) e da Society for the Sutudy of the Indigenous Languages of the Americas (SSILA). Foi o primeiro presidente da Associação Brasileira de Linguística (ABRALIN). Tem experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Línguas Indígenas, atuando principalmente nos áreas de línguas indígenas, fonologia, morfologia, sintaxe e linguística histórico-comparativa. É presidente honorário do Instituto Aryon Dall'Igna Rodrigues (IADR).
