En este artículo, reflexionamos sobre algunos impactos de la pandemia en las interacciones y la comunicación a partir del pensamiento multimodal y socio-semiótico de Gunther Kress, relacionando ejemplos con conceptos fundamentales de la Semiótica Social, como identidad, poder, signo motivado e interés. Además, te proponemos un pequeño homenaje a este autor que tanto nos influyó. Para ello, trazamos una breve historia de su carrera académica, destacando algunas de sus principales publicaciones y discutiendo conceptos e ideas desarrolladas por él a lo largo de su carrera.
