Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present an activity proposal for working with content and form in the 9th grade of Elementary School. For this, we chose the literary work Hamlet (2011), by William Shakespeare and the film Hamlet (1990), by Franco Zeffirelli. From these works, we intend to promote student reading, explore the worldviews present in the works, and analyze whether the change in form, also implies the transformation of the content. As theoretical foundations, the perspective of Historical-Dialectical Materialism guides us. Therefore, from the analysis, we realized the relevance of working with Marxist categories in the classroom in order to improve the understanding of classic literary works.
