In a country where one in five people can’t comprehend what they read, it can be immediately stated that the policies and practices for the formation of literature readers in the school environment aren’t reaching the goals they are supposed to. Dealing with actual students who don’t know how to read and don’t enjoy reading, and who view literature as something disconnect from their lives is a huge challenge, which often transforms the pedagogical practice into an impossibility of meeting the goals of both students and teachers, not fulfilling the purpose of the educational process as a way of accessing the world.
