In 2017, South Korean President Park Geun-hye was impeached. This political event was the theme of the texts selected as the object of analysis in the present study: utterances produced by South Korean students who have been learning Portuguese as a foreign language. The methodology used is based on the socio-historical perspective. Taking as a reference Mikhail Bakhtin’s theory of dialogism, this research is focused on the concrete utterance taken in its extraverbal dimension, in order to understand the positive values about this topic which are present in the students’ texts. The analysis of their written productions has shown that subjects participating in this research have a favorable opinion about the impeachment, and their utterances are developed while establishing relations with dialogic voices present in the spheres of Korean society.
