Abstract

The focus is on project teaching at the school of architecture and urban design beyond others schools face to professional practice and its social environment. The aim is the improvement of the pedagogical process in educating architects and others designers mainly helping them to deal with the social milieu. The key problem is the gap between the professional activities and the teaching. A social approach is proposed in order to understand the relationships between them. The approach works with two main categories: (a) the field of professional activities and (b) the context, i. e., the society. Special attention is given on the constraints from the social context on professional practice especially on its agents, activities, communication, development and organization (control).
