Mapa Mental
Keywords:
mental ecosystem; mental map; reference; communication.Abstract
The main objective of this article is to show that there is a mental map inside the mental ecosystem of language, and of our general cognitive ecosystem at large. This mental map is intimately assosiated to our cognitive map. After characterizing the very concept of mental map and associating it to similar concepts, I presente the mental map I had of Brasília, due to the fact of having lived there for over 30 years. Since I moved to Goiânia, my knowledge of this map started to fade away. However, I am forming a new mental map of Goânia, as a specular process. I also show that mental maps are dynamic and need to be continually fed both by going through it and talking about it to other people. Otherwise our knowledge about it goes little by little to a kind of “dead files”. This “dead files” can be put on line in order to be used.
