A FILOSOFIA DO PROCESSO E O PROBLEMA DA CONTINUIDADE
Keywords:
Metaphysics, Continuum, Movement, OrganismAbstract
This essay aims to provide an initial exploration into the ideas underlying the concepts of continuity and process philosophy at their intersections. The problem of the continuum emerges as an issue concerning epistemological characteristics that involve our understanding of the movement of bodies in space and time. Whitehead's process philosophy, in turn, utilizes the idea of extensive continuum to address the general form of metaphysics as a process, that is, understanding the dynamics of the factual and transcendent world in relation to the processes of efficient and final causation, comprehending the entire system as an organism.
