This paper discusses the paradigmatic character of Anthropophagy as a kind of epistemology of the south, i.e.: a genuinely Brazilian philosophy that, starting from the point of view of a necessary embodied thought, became capable of overcoming the dichotomies and the deviations of Western philosophy. Therefore, it also aims to discuss Latin-American performance as a form of “raw philosophy”. In dialogue with the works of authors as Czech-Brazilian thinker Vilém Flusser and of perfromers as Ana Mendieta, we make use of Oswald de Andrade’s Anthropophagy as an epistemological tool (and as a sort of “radical embodiment”): a way of philosophical questions to be absorbed and to become “flesh and blood” in Brasil and
Latin America.
