A aceleração social, a fatiga de ser si mesmo e a fenomenologia da depressão

This article seeks to establish a dialogue with renewed phenomenological studies in the field of depression, considering the possibility of an interdisciplinary approach between the social sciences and psychopathology, based on the philosophical orientation of the phenomenological school. As a starting point, we propose an analysis of the works of Hartmut Rosa and Alain Ehrenberg, especially about social acceleration and individualism, in order to show how we can interpret depression from a macrosocial perspective. After that, the goal is to deepen the central aspect of depression as a pathology of time. The issue has traditionally been addressed in the field of phenomenological psychopathology since the first generation of phenomenological psychiatrists. What is intended to be emphasized at this point is Thomas Fuchs' innovative conception of depressive illness based on temporality and intersubjectivity.
