Abstract

Through the expression "philosophy / non-philosophy" Merleau-Ponty tries to account for the critical state of the philosophy of his time ”“which perhaps is still ours-; It is a question of highlighting a question that is embodied in his own writing and that, although it appears more strongly in his last reflections, it is likely to be found - more or less explicitly - throughout his work: the impossibility of philosophy - that is, of consecrated philosophical discourses - to account for our real experience in the world. Thus, the need to institute an ontology of the sensible that ”“in the manner of (this is “according to”) painting - departs from the transparency of traditional thought to allow the opacity of our constitutive contingency to emerge is highlighted. . In this work we will try to synthesize this perspective that puts in perspective the great problem of "visibility" and that underlines the need to "think the unthinkable".
