Abstract

This article discusses the vulnerable socio-environmental condition that the black population, in the majority, lives in the urban space. Having as a starting point the production of material wealth, in the process of primitive accumulation of capital and the need to build ideological processes that justify the exploitation of one over the other, I analyze the reproduction of Eurocentric logic on the black population, particularly in Brazil. The intention is to demonstrate that Brazilian cities are open stages of exposition of the spoliation in which the black population is submitted by the ruling class and the State is a figure that ratifies and imposes the condition underneath, through violence, disregarding its human condition and repeating the history of punishment of the body for the bias of inferiority. For this purpose, this research analyzed the neighborhood of Don Bosco in the city of Juiz de Fora-MG, as a micro reality, to demonstrate the socio-environmental condition that the black population is exposed. Primary and secondary sources were used and interviews with residents of the neighborhood.
