This research analyzes the use of knowledge management, through the methodology of critical knowledge mapping, in the curricular configuration of undergraduate courses in Librarianship. It emphasizes that knowledge management has been addressed in several aspects of the administration of higher education institutions, mainly because they are essentially knowledge organizations. The article is justified due to the scarce Brazilian production on studies aimed at training at the undergraduate level, especially to support the dimensioning of curricula. It presents a methodological construct composed of six steps aimed at identifying which knowledge graduates of the Librarianship course at the Federal University of Amazonas identify as critical to qualify their professional action. The results show that the graduates perceive most of the knowledge in the pedagogical plan as important for their work practices, however, among these, there are those who have greater consensus that are considered critical. It is concluded that it is essential to map critical knowledge to visualize the cognitive needs required in the Librarianship labor market.
