Competencia lectora y alfabetización en información: un modelo para la biblioteca escolar en la sociedad del conocimiento

Partiendo de la literatura científica actual sobre alfabetización en información, con especial incidencia en el ámbito escolar y del análisis sobre las dificultades en competencia lectora asociadas a la actual sociedad mediatizada por la información y los medios se propone un modelo centrado en habilidades informativas orientado a favorecer la competencia lectora que funcione, desde la biblioteca escolar, como elemento holístico y vertebrador, convirtiendo de este modo a la lectura en instrumento indispensable para construir conocimiento.
