From the observation that the segregation of women in scientific production throughout history represents a problem regarding the exclusion of a non-androcentric perspective in different scientific fields, a question emerged that guided this research: what is the proportion of feminist studies and of gender in publications in Information Design? In order to draw an overview of the research related to the terms and discuss a scenario of future research trends, bibliographic searches were carried out with a focus on the combination of the terms Information Design and feminism, woman and gender in two Information Design journals: a Infodesign Brazilian Journal of Information Science, and the Information Design Journal; and in the annals of the International Information Design Congress. The initially established hypothesis - that there is a scarcity of works with themes related to feminism and gender issues in research in Information Design - was confirmed, which represents a gap to be filled by more necessary studies on the theme. Furthermore, the convergence with Information Science is positive in this regard, as it is an applied social science that brings human, social and cultural perspectives to research around information.
