Abstract

This work is an interview with members of Grupo Galpão, a theatre company from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It discusses their pedagogical approach and the creative processes they have accomplished in partnership with the artist Ernani Maletta. The aim was to reflect on the connections between this company's work and the concepts of polyphony and polyphonic acting. The interview was recorded online in 2022 and then transcribed. The transcription intends to reproduce the specificities of oral talking, for it can maintain the spontaneous flow of a conversation. In this sense, the reader might have the feeling of hearing the artists interviewed speaking naturally.

Author Biography

Vinícius Assunção Albricker, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UNIRIO, Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brasil

Professor do Departamento de Interpretação da Escola de Teatro da UNIRIO. Doutor em Artes pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, sob a orientação do Prof. Dr. Ernani de Castro Maletta, com a defesa da tese Variações Rítmicas Vivas na Atuação Cênica, concluída em 2019. Realizou Mestrado em Artes no mesmo Programa de Pós-Graduação e sob mesma orientação, com pesquisa sobre a fala cênica nas perspectivas de Konstantin Stanislávski e Declan Donnellan, concluída em 2014. Bacharel em Interpretação Teatral com Formação Complementar Superior em Música pela UFMG (2011). Leciona na Escola de Teatro da UNIRIO desde 2017, sendo responsável por disciplinas de atuação cênica, voz e musicalidade. Desde 2020, lidera o Laboratório de Estudos Vocais, Cênicos e Musicais (LEV), grupo de pesquisa certificado pelo CNPq.
