Using theoretical formulations by Alain Badiou, mainly his concept of generic, this essay is dedicated to exploring and expanding the unfolding of the matter of truth for psychoanalysis. The truth, being undiscernible, where Lacan placed the woman, would be what would stand out from the process that constitutes the being of the One. In adjunction of a truth, when we will thus be able to refer to subjects, transcendences are disqualified, decisions about non-decidable issues become possible, creating a process operated by immanent manner, where the path, random and contingent, is enabled through enrichment of the language. In this process, we can point out the role of the proper name, which would have the duty of endorsing, granting duration, the fidelity of a truth.
