Abstract

Psychometric data related to the self-concept scale of Janis and Field (1959) in its revised version presented by Eagly (1967) and translated into Portuguese by Crano, Crano, and Biaggio (1983) were obtained with a sample of 658 university students in the city or Rio de Janeiro. The statistical analyses carried out confirmed the suitability of the scale for use in Brazil, as previously demonstrated by Crano, Crano, and Biaggio (1983). The paper presents Brazilian norms for the conversion of raw scores into standardized T scores.
