Abstract

Based both on the literature and the professional experience
of the author, the role of the psychologist in rehabilitation is
treated basically on two levels: prevention and therapy. The psychologist
contributes to the humanization of the hospitals and rehabilitation
centers and deals not only with the individual in rehabilitation (considered
as a sexual being, inserted in a family, social and institutional context),
but also with the members of the rehabilitation team, attempting
to make the whole institutional structure therapeutic.
