This paper analyzes the way in which the anthems of Brazilian soccer teams process the role of memory management within the broad field of sports imagery, resulting in the identification with those teams, as well as immediate association with them. The idea presented here is that this property of hymns lies in their construction and representation of founding discourses that emerge from a hiperenunciation community, following the theoretical contributions by Maingueneau (2006, 2008).
