“transformación” en la obra de Gunther Kress

Resumo

"Transformação" é um conceito-chave no pensamento de Gunther Kress. Neste artigo, discuto três concepções do termo em sua obra. A primeira (transformação social) é central para todo o seu trabalho intelectual, enquanto as outras duas (transformação como uma operação linguístico-discursiva e como um produto inescapável de comunicação) respondem a dois momentos de seu pensamento: a abordagem crítica (Linguística Crítica e Análise Crítica do Discurso) e a abordagem do design (Socio-semiótica Multimodal), respetivamente. O percurso conceitual por meio dessas concepções de transformação mostra a relevância de seu trabalho para a pesquisa social e suas implicações epistemológicas, políticas e éticas.
