ECOS DO EXPRESSIONISMO ALEMÃO NA ILUMINAÇÃO NOTURNA NAS OBRAS DE NIEMEYER

Abstract

In 2002 a redesign ocurred in the light characteristics of some Architectural Works in Brasilia by the partnership Niemeyer (1907-2012) and Gasper (1940-2014).  This study investigates the similarities between this light expression and the particularities of the German expressionist cinema of the early 20th century. Light and shadow, contrast and similarity are data that we will observe in Gasper's lighting projects. Photographs and interviews helped to understand the circumstances that consolidated his work and his luminous intentions in Niemeyer´s work.
