This article is a presentation of Walter Benjamin’s "dialectical image", as a point of convergence in his method. In the general formulation presented here, itis sought to begin the reflection on the role of aesthetic experience in the possibilities of emancipation in late capitalism. A starting point for articulations with the contemporary situation is proposed through the concept of "criticalimage" by Georges Didi-Huberman.
