About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Estética e Semiótica Magazine – RES um is a journal developed by the Center for Aesthetics, Hermeneutics and Semiotics – NEHS of the Research and Graduate Program of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Brasília – PPG-FAU/UnB and constitutes a space for collaboration and promotion of scientific production.
The objective is to reflect from aesthetics, hermeneutics, semiotics and its criticism, focusing on its processes and results, on the creations of the world of culture, art and architecture. Therefore, the transdisciplinary character of RES is considered, passing through philosophy, sociology, literature and communication as the journal's main interests.
RES is a biannual journal organized by the editorial team of collaborators and ad hoc referees responsible for publishing unpublished works in the form of articles, projects, summaries, translations, reviews, photographs, short stories, reviews, interviews and articles.

Peer Review Process
RES is a biannual journal organized by the editorial team of collaborators and ad hoc referees responsible for publishing unpublished works. The review and approval of published articles will be blind and carried out by peers chosen within the Scientific Council.

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed filing system among participating libraries and allows them to create permanent journal archives for preservation and restoration. Know more...
