Duplipensar o conceito surdo ou resignificar a concepção visual pelas lentes da ecolinguística

This research discusses the historical conception of the term "deaf" and presents the subject-language symbiosis as an individual identified not by disability, but by the language, which is VISUAL. Bakhtinian conceptions corroborate in the fertile soil of Ecolinguistics in a germination process, in which visual subjects struggle for access and autonomous permanence in the ecological environment in which they live. The gaze of the other as a prejudiced feature of sign language mummifies the Aristotelian conceptions and poisons the subject for the recognition of difference as a mirror of normality. Thus, the historic features of sign language are registered as parasites and/or competitors, not as epiphytes and/or symbiotic.
