ENSINO DE ENERGIA MECÂNICA NUM SISTEMA MASSA-MOLA SOB UM OLHAR INVESTIGATIVO

Investigative activities have been an alternative to traditional Physics teaching in the search for strategies capable of leading students to the debate, providing discussion, argumentation and reflection. In this work, we present a proposal to work the Linearly Damped Oscillator, considering the friction between two dry surfaces of a mass-spring system, a subject rarely addressed in textbooks. Initially, a historical survey of teaching by research and its importance for learning was carried out. Then, we did the mathematical treatment of Linearly Damped Oscillator and from its equations we built a computational simulation using the Python language plus the three-dimensional graphics module Vpython. Finally, a script of an investigative sequence was proposed, in order to explore concepts of mechanical energy and its transformations.
