La movilidad reproductiva transfronteriza para sortear los impedimentos a la maternidad

Resumo

Este artigo analisa as experiências de mulheres francesas que, diante de impedimentos biológicos, sociais e legais para alcançar a maternidade, recorrem à reprodução medicamente assistida transfronteiriça na Espanha. Apesar da reforma da Lei de Bioética em 2021, que ampliou o acesso a tratamentos de reprodução assistida para mulheres solteiras e casais do mesmo sexo, persistem impedimentos para determinadas maternidades, especialmente relacionados ao limite de idade e aos longos tempos de espera para a doação de gametas.
A superação desses impedimentos exige um esforço logístico complexo, que recai principalmente sobre os ombros das mulheres. Além de se adaptarem a tratamentos distantes e lidarem com uma cultura e um sistema médico diferentes, elas devem conseguir implementar e gerenciar um duplo rastreamento entre a França e a Espanha. Embora a reprodução medicamente assistida transfronteiriça ajude a contornar certos impedimentos, ela também confronta os usuários com novos desafios, como o risco de falha no tratamento e perdas gestacionais. Entretanto, esses movimentos transfronteiriços também abrem a possibilidade de um “desimpedimento” conceitual da maternidade, permitindo reconfigurações nas normas familiares.

Alexandra Desy, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelon

Alexandra Desy es doctora en Antropología Social y Cultural por la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Su investigación se centra en la salud reproductiva, la reproducción médicamente asistida y los viajes reproductivos transfronterizos. Actualmente trabaja en el Grupo de Investigación AFIN (UAB) con un contrato de investigación postdoctoral.

Diana Marre, Departamento de Antropología Social y Cultural, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, España

Diana Marre es Catedrática en la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona y es directora del Grupo de Investigación AFIN (UAB). Investiga sobre los aspectos sociales, culturales y políticos de la reproducción humana. Ha sido investigadora principal de numerosos proyectos de investigación financiados por diversos organismos y entidades.
