Abstract

The article aims to contribute to the development of studies about the north Brazilian borders formation. The period in question remarks different moments of intense disputes, especially over the Amazon territory, of which three cycles diplomatic derived and that continued in time and enabled the advance of the impending foreign policy with regard to defense, security, trade, economy and others.
