Technical Object #1: Gambiarra
Keywords:
Gambiarra, Augmented voice, Sound Design, Brazilian art, Technical objectsAbstract
The present sound piece is a result of the research around the notion of gambiarra developed by the Augmented Voice group (Voz Aumentada) of POPLAB-UNIRIO. Mixing spontaneous speech during the group discussions, extracts from theorical works on the subject, diverse definitions of the term and sound creations, this sound piece proposes a reflection on the Brazilian word gambiarra as a technical object and its possible impacts on the actors’ voices.
